Apple Crunch French Toast

Bread: Apple Crunch

2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt

Blend the above ingredients. Dip 4-6 slices of Apple Crunch into mixture and place in a shallow pan over medium heat. Cook 8-9 minutes and flip. Continue to cook till bread is firm to the touch.

Cinnamon Supreme French Toast
Bread: Cinnamon Supreme, of course!

4-6 slices of Cinnamon Chip, 1/4 t. vanilla
3 eggs 1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. milk 1 lb. Pure love
Melt butter in a shallow pan over medium/high heat. Blend above ingredients and quickly dip bread into mixture, (don’t let bread soak or it will be too soggy!) Cook slices on both sides for 5 minutes or till golden brown. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar and a dollup of butter.

Frooty-Tooty Toast
Bread: Honey Whole Wheat

1 T. Butter, 1 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
2 eggs, 1 apple, pear or banana, chopped
1 T. Milk, 1/4 t. lemon juice
2 slices Honey Wheat, 2 T. raisins

Melt butter is a small shallow baking pan in a 450 degree oven. Spread butter evenly in pan. Separate one egg, saving yolk in small bowl. Beat egg white and 1 whole egg with milk. Dip bread in egg mixture, coating both sides. Place in buttered pan and bake for 5 minutes. Beat cream cheese and remaining egg yolk together. Mix fruit, lemon juice and raisins. Remove bread from oven. Spread each slice with cheese mixture. Top with fruit. Bake 5 minutes longer.

Orange Upside Down French Toast
Bread: Great White

1/4 c. butter, 4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 c. sugar, 2/3 c. orange juice
1/4 t. cinnamon, 8 slices Great White bread
1 t. grated orange rind

Melt butter is a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan. Combine sugar, cinnamon and orange rind. Sprinkle mixture on top of the melted butter. In a separate bowl, mix eggs and juice; dip bread, soaking well. Arrange bread on top of the butter/sugar mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until done, watching carefully. Lift out and flip over onto plate. Serve warm with cup of hot tea or coffee! Yummy!

Toffee French Toast
Bread: Great White or Honey Whole Wheat

6 T. butter 1 c. milk
6 T. brown sugar 1 egg
6 T. light corn syrup, 4 slices Great White or Honey Wheat

Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. In saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and light corn syrup. Heat to boiling (be careful!), then boil and stir for 2 minutes. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Combine milk and 1 egg. Dip slices of bread into this mixture, then place in hot butter mixture. Bake in oven for 6-8 minutes on each side. Serve warm with apple or orange slices on the side!
